Introduction to the hyperbolic cooling tower

Hyperbolic cooling tower hyperboliccoolingtower

A structure for natural ventilation and cooling of circulating water in thermal power plants and nuclear power plants. In power plants built in areas where water supply is not sufficient, in order to save water, a cooling structure is required so that the hot water discharged from the cooler can be reused after being cooled therein. Most of the cooling structures used in large power plants are hyperbolic cooling towers.

The British zui used this cooling tower early. It has been widely used in various countries since the 1930s. In the 1940s, a hyperbolic cooling tower group was built in Fushun Power Plant and Fuxin Power Plant in Northeast China. The cooling tower consists of a collecting basin, pillars, tower body and watering device. The pool is mostly a circular pool about 2 meters deep under the ground. The tower is a thin-walled space structure with a hyperbolic shape, ribless and no beam and column, which is beneficial to natural ventilation. It is made of reinforced concrete. The tower height is generally 75-110 meters and the bottom edge diameter is 65-100 meters. The upper part of the tower is a wind cylinder, and the elevation below 10 meters is a water distribution tank and a watering device. The watering device is the main equipment for evaporating water to dissipate heat. During operation, the water flows down from the distribution tank, and the air enters from the side of the bottom of the tower. When it is in full contact with the water, it is discharged upward with heat. The cooling process is mainly based on evaporative heat dissipation, and a small part is convection heat dissipation. The hyperbolic cooling tower has a smaller footprint than the pool-type cooling structure, compact layout, small water loss, and the cooling effect is not affected by the wind; it is easier to maintain and save energy than the mechanical ventilation cooling tower; but the shape is large and the construction is complicated. The cost is higher.

Laser Distance Meter 50M

This 50m distance measuring meter is made of two parts: the laser distance outside unit and the sole part laser measure module. Great distance range is from 3cm to 50 meters with ±1.5mm high accuracy. Digital distance measuring device is quick and reliable measure with one hand pushing the button. It is designed for hand helding, very convenient to put in your jacket pocket or trouser pocket.
1>. Easy to Use. It is very easy to learn how to use a Laser Distance Meter, it can measure distance with pressing a single button.
2>. Safety. Using a laser distance meter to measure is much safer than using a measure tape, for users do not need to climb up and down.
