1. Planting

(1) To plant. It should be planted after falling leaves in November to March of the following year. Leave the stem 100–120 cm high when planting and cut the upper part. After the new spring shoot grows, select 3~4 main branches suitable for the angle of view and allow them to bloom.

2. Fertilization and disease prevention

General crape myrtle management is more extensive. In the first half of March, the shoot fertilizer (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium combined) should be applied; in the late May to the beginning of June, a single application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied to strong branches and flowering; in the late July and early September, each flowering fertilizer should be applied. During the growing season, shearing avoids the pruning or short cutting of the new shoots that germinate in spring, otherwise it may cause only long branches to not bloom.
