Sow initial allocation and pre-pregnancy management

First, the task of raising pregnant sows

1. Ensure that the fetus is successfully implanted in the mother's body to obtain normal development, prevent miscarriage, and increase mating and delivery rates.

2. Ensure that as many litters as possible can be produced in each litter

3. Maintain the upper body condition of the sow, and store nutrients needed for lactation during lactation.

Second, the early pregnancy maternal rearing

This period refers to the sows that have just been mated for 7 to 21 days. The sows in this period are generally still in the breeding house (circle) and there is no transfer bar. After 21 days, they do not return to the situation and they are transferred to the pregnant house. This is the period of fertilized egg implantation and embryonic organ formation and differentiation. Because of the small size of the embryos, the sows have low requirements for the nutritional level of the diet, but they have high requirements for the quality of dietary hygiene. This period is the period of embryo formation and fetal implantation, which is the peak period of embryo death. Therefore, this period has higher requirements for raising and environment:

1. The sow should strictly control the amount of feeding, and immediately reduce the amount of feed when the sow is assigned to the species. It will be reduced from 3.0 to 4.0 kilograms per day during the breeding period to 1.5 to 2.0 kilograms. The intake of energy is too high. Disadvantages of pregnancy also increase the death of the embryo.

2. To keep the original circle feeding, it is not appropriate for the sow to frequently adjust the circle, affect the fertilized egg implantation, but also prone to malformation of the fetus.

3. Gentle management of sows, can not be scared, whip sows, try to keep the quiet environment.

4. Do a good job in sanitation, adjust the temperature and humidity of the house, and keep the house clean and dry.

Third, pre-pregnancy sow rearing

This period refers to the sows that are 22 to 81 days after mating, and the sows in this period have generally been transferred from the breeding house (circle) to the pregnant house (circle). During this period, the sow is basically in the maintenance period. The fetus grows slowly in the abdomen, and the mother also gradually restores postpartum weight loss and stores nutrition. Therefore, during this period, the sows’ demand for dietary energy and protein nutrition is not high. They only require 2 meals a day and they are fully fed. At this time, the sow's diet is 2.0 to 2.2 kg per day, and it can be maintained in the middle of puberty. However, attention should be paid to individual adjustments in specific feeds, ie, less sows should be given to better sows, more sows should be given to lean sows, and group conditions should be balanced. In the daily feeding and management, attention should be paid to the observation of the sow's health status, whether the spirit, feeding, excrement, and urination are normal, whether there is regurgitation or abortion, and abnormalities occur.

Chromatography Resins & Pre-packed Columns

Nanomicro Tech produces the most complete range of monodisperse chromatographic media and SPE sorbents based on acrylic polymers, polystyrene or silica . The spherical and monodisperse sorbents with precisely controlled uniform particle size, optimized pore structure and surface functionalization provide high resolution , excellent selectivity , low back pressure , high recovery yield , and exceptional batch-to-batch reproducibility. Nanomicro Tech is one of the few companies having capability to manufacture both polymeric and silica based chromatography media for reversed phase, normal phase, ion exchange, hydrophobic interaction, affinity and Protein A affinity chromatographic separations. Both monodisperse non-porous and porous (100 Å, 300 Å, 500 Å, 1000 Å) media with a size selection as small as 1.7µm for UPLC, and as large as 100µm for process-scale chromatography, are available from Nanomico Tech
