Rice bastard disease prevention and control measures

Symptoms After bastard disease develops in rice, the internodes of the diseased plants are elongated and grow thin and high, the plants are light in color, the leaves are narrower than the normal plants, and there are various fibrous roots in or outside the leaf sheath on the node. Rice straw There is a white mold inside, which turns pale red and sometimes black. The diseased plants had earlier heading, smaller panicles and less grain, or became unreal. Plants that died of disease were eared earlier, had smaller panicles, and had fewer kernels or became indistinct. The dead plants had light red or white mold on the surface, and the diseased grain husks were covered with slivers of red and green mildew. Pathogenesis and Transmission Paths The pathogens of rice bakanae disease are overwintering on grain and straw. The next year, sick seeds or rice straw are used. The pathogens will invade from the sprouts or wounds of the seedlings, causing the seedlings to become disease-prone. After the diseased seedlings were transplanted, the pathogens were brought to the field, causing the onset of rice seedlings. When rice heading blossoms, the pathogen spreads through the wind and rain to the flower, so that the grain and straw with bacteria, circulating infection damage rice. Prevention and control methods The prevention and treatment of rice bakanae disease focuses on the treatment of seeds. Strictly disinfect the seeds. Use 50% carbendazim 100 grams, add 50 kg of water to soak seeds; or 35% of yamiaoling 120 grams, 50 kg of water to soak seed; or 3% of lime water to soak seeds for 48 hours. The solution must be noted that the liquid level must be 15 to 20 cm above the seed level for seed absorption. At the same time, in the soaking process, the liquid surface remains stationary, and cannot be stirred halfway, nor can it be reused to ensure suffocation. Whether in Putian or Datian, the diseased plants should be unplugged in time to prevent the expansion of infection. The diseased rice straw should not be thrown carelessly, nor should it be piled on the edge of the fields. It should not be used as a cover for seed germination. It should not be used to bundle rakes, but it can concentrate on high-temperature stacking and seriously use fire.
