How to obtain Clivia superior seeds

In order to obtain excellent seeds of Clivia, hybrid cross-pollination method must be adopted, that is, cross-pollination is carried out between different varieties or different plants of the same variety.
The specific method is as follows: First select the good trait variety as the parent and the mother. When the flower blooms for 2-3 days, the anthers of the stamens show yellow pollen at the longitudinal cracks. At this time, the parent pollen is blown into the glassware with a brush and covered with a glass lid. When the mother flower blooms on the stigma of the head for 2 to 3 days, it is the best time for pollination. The pollination time can be 9 to 11 o'clock in the morning or 1 to 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Fill the prepared stamen pollen grains with a new soft-bristle pen and gently apply the stigma. This can be used to pollinate continuously for 2 times in order to increase pollination yield. Then hang up the tag, write the parent, mother's name, and pollination times. If the number of cultivated Clivia plants is small, the anthers can also be picked off with tweezers and the pollen can be directly given to the pistil stigmas. This is called direct pollination. Once pollination is successful, the fruit matures after 7 to 8 months.
Clivia can be harvested when the fruit is slightly red, cut the ear, tied with a rope and hanged in a cool, ventilated place for several days. When the fruit is dark red, peel the seed coat, and at the same time perform grain selection to fill the full, well-developed seed. Leave these seeds to dry for 2~3 days.
