Fresh bean preservation technology

1. Select resistant and disease resistant varieties and strengthen field pest control. For the storage of beans, the varieties with thick flesh, green color, strong disease resistance, long rust spots, and long growing seasons, suitable for cultivation in autumn quinoa should be selected, such as large oil beans, Wuchang oil beans, Edogawa, and Qingdao racks. Beans, harvest number one and so on. The diseases liable to occur in the storage period of bean pods include bean grey mold, anthracnose, and keratoderma. These diseases have invaded the interior of fruits in the field, and the fruit resistance after harvesting is reduced. Therefore, disease prevention in the field should be strengthened.
2. Select a location suitable for temperature and humidity for storage. The temperature required for storage shall not be higher than 8°C, and the relative humidity of the warehouse shall be less than 85%. Cold storage, cellars, and caves that meet the temperature and humidity conditions may be used.
3. Before the next frost, select the plants that grow robustly and have almost no pests to pick the beans for storage. Select beans of medium tenderness whose size is uniform and not yet fully mature. The pods should be intact to avoid breakage. The use of vegetable baskets or plastic boxes for transportation is strictly prohibited. The use of sacks or woven bags is strictly prohibited. The containers used should be cleaned and disinfected.
4. After the beans are harvested, heat them in a cool and ventilated place. At the same time, use a special preservation agent for the beans and configure the liquid according to the instructions for use. Soak the beans, remove them and let them dry thoroughly before moving them into the storeroom. Eliminate pods with lesions and insect bites and breaks. Then use a special fresh-keeping bag for beans, 1.5 kg per bag, not too much.
5. During the storage of beans, the temperature should be controlled first. Do not make the temperature too high. Otherwise the beans will be easily aged. The temperature in the later period should not be too low. The minimum in Heilongjiang area should not be lower than -5°C. Second, ventilation should be frequently used. Keep the air in the library fresh.
