Chicken manure treatment and utilization technology

When chickens form a certain scale, the handling and use of chicken manure is very important. At present, many breeding units and peasant households are unsatisfactory with regard to the use of chicken manure. Some of them dump chicken manure on roadsides or in pits, causing waste and pollution; some are used as fertilizer in the field or fish ponds without treatment. , negatively affecting production. In fact, chicken manure is not only a good fertilizer, but also because it contains a high nutritional value, can be used as feed. Each year, each laying hen can excrete about 36.4 kg of feces, and each broiler can excrete 4.09 kg of feces (January to February). Comprehensive use of chicken manure can greatly improve the chicken farm's sanitary environment, eliminate mosquitoes, flies and odors, reduce the spread of disease, and can make full use of this resource for feed, fertilizer, etc., so that chicken manure becomes waste and treasure, resulting in better The social, ecological and economic benefits. All chicken breeding areas can be adapted to local conditions and choose several methods to implement. In order to help you turn waste into treasure and make full use of chicken droppings, we will introduce to you the treatment and utilization technology of chicken droppings.

Composting fermentation

Fermented chicken manure after composting is a good fertilizer for grapes, watermelons, fruit trees and vegetables. Choose a well-ventilated, high-lying place, it is best away from the residential area and the downwind of the shed more than 500 meters, the piled litter of chicken litter piled up, the outside closed with mud. Generally about 10 days in summer and about 2 months in winter.

Silage ammoniation

Fresh chicken manure can be used as fodder to feed cattle and sheep, and some can also feed pigs. Silage is performed after mixing fresh chicken manure with chopped forage, fruit and vegetable wastes, or potatoes, sweetpotato pods, grains, etc. Silage with non-legume forage is best. When silage, maintain water content of 40% to 75%, you can add corn and other grains, and add the appropriate amount of ammonium hydroxide to improve the digestibility and palatability of forage and chicken manure storage. After fresh chicken manure was air-dried, silage in green corn was performed at a rate of 30%. Feeding beef cattle was almost comparable to that of soybean cake corn silage and the crude protein content was high.

Air-drying and crushing

The fresh chicken manure was spread out in a plastic greenhouse and dried. The thickness of the fecal layer was less than 15 cm. It was agitated with a nail rake and was blown with a high-speed blower. After the chicken manure is dried, it is crushed and processed into pellet feed, which can feed cattle, sheep and poultry. Generally, the added amount is not more than 20%.

Direct feeding

Fresh chicken manure can be directly fed to pigs and fed to fish. When fed, different chicken manure contains different active ingredients. For example, chicken manure contains higher crude protein and can be used as a concentrate feed, while egg chicken manure is due to ash content. More, be careful when adding. When pigs are fed, fresh pure chicken manure is added directly to the daily feed grain at a rate of 15%. An average of 1 pig can consume about 8 to 10 adult chicken manures. When feeding fish, add fish ponds directly.

Biogas fermentation

Chicken manure is one of the raw materials for biogas fermentation, especially chicken manure with water, which can be used to make biogas. The establishment of small and medium-sized yeast tanks can produce biogas after 10 to 20 days of fermentation. Biogas can be used for life heating, and biogas residue is used as bait or fertilizer.

Precautions

1. Strengthen the management of chicken manure. For high-bed sheds or original grazing sheds where one-time intensive defecation is performed, ventilation should be enhanced to keep chicken patties dry. In the house where chickens are dispersed, the water flowing from the end of the sink should not be discharged into the ditch. Try to collect semi-dried chicken manure and concentrate on the dung farm in time to prevent rainwater from scouring.

2. It is safe to use after compost fermentation or biogas fermentation.

3. Fresh chicken manure should be fed to the fish gradually, to prevent overdosing at one time, resulting in organic pollution. Ji County Agricultural Information Center
