Advantages: (1) High water use efficiency, water conservation, and good yield increase. (2) It is flexible and easy to use. (3) Save energy and reduce investment. (4) Can adjust the microclimate in the field. (5) Easy to automate and save labor.
Limitations: The water quality requirements are higher and the irrigation water must be filtered. Field micro-irrigation is susceptible to weeds and crop stalks and affects spray quality. Irrigation uniformity is greatly affected by the wind. Compared with surface irrigation, one-time investment is larger.
