In 2017, the planting area of ​​rice in Shuangfeng County was nearly 970,000 mu, and the amount of rice straw produced was more than 350,000 tons. In the past, the main living fuel of farmers was mainly straw, and now it is dominated by electricity, coal and gas. Therefore, the straw gradually evolved into a kind of “burden”, which led to the random abandonment and burning of crop straw, which not only seriously wasted resources, but also the burning of smoke caused adverse effects on human health, resulting in a series of environmental problems. Therefore, the agricultural machinery department of Shuangfeng County plans to promote the technology of straw mechanization and returning to the field. This year, a 1000-mu rice straw concentrated splicing machinery returning field demonstration area will be established in Boda, Longtian and Shujin Agricultural Machinery Cooperative.

According to experts' calculations, after the completion of the straw mechanization and returning project, it can effectively promote the growth of the rural economy and farmers' income. The straw contains elements such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium and sulfur needed for crop growth, which not only saves fertilizer but also improves The yield per mu of rice is 20 kilograms, which together increase the grain output by 20,000 kilograms. At the same time, it can also reduce production costs and increase labor productivity. The mechanized returning of crop straw to the field can increase the work efficiency by 10 times compared with the artificial returning to the field, and it will transfer 100 laborers to the rural areas, drive the surrounding agricultural crops to return to the field of 4000 mu, and increase the organic fertilizer, which can increase the soil venting porosity and soil organic matter content. It has a good effect of saving fertilizer and increasing efficiency and improving soil and fertilization, saving manpower, material resources and financial resources for farmers. It is a real benefit project.

The research team and the team took the combination of inspection materials and on-site inspections, and listened carefully to the opinions and suggestions of the agricultural machinery cooperatives on the implementation of the straw returning project.
