Farm machinery maintenance net

Fuel Net Currently, most agricultural machinery engines are diesel-powered, making diesel purification a critical aspect of maintenance. There are three effective methods for purifying diesel fuel. First, purchased diesel should be allowed to settle for at least 96 hours to let impurities sink to the bottom. Second, when refueling, install a filter and add a layer of fine silk cloth to trap small particles. Third, when drawing fuel from a drum, use a filter along with a layer of kraft paper—this helps capture dirt before it enters the engine. These filters should be cleaned or replaced regularly to maintain efficiency. It’s also essential to use clean and approved lubricants. The oil filter elements should be inspected and cleaned periodically. For rotor-type filters, it's recommended to wrap them with a suitable piece of kraft paper, which helps in capturing dirt through centrifugal force. When cleaning the filter cartridge, it's best to use an air pump to blow air from the inside out, followed by gentle brushing. Never touch the filter with your hands, as this can introduce contaminants. For the grease, always use a clean, calcium-based lubricant and avoid mixing it with other types of grease. This ensures proper lubrication and prevents damage to internal components. When the engine is running, the air cylinder draws in 2 to 4 cubic meters of air per minute. To ensure that the air entering the cylinder is clean, the air filter must be checked and cleaned regularly. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance and increase fuel consumption. Cooling water for the engine should ideally be soft water, such as rainwater, melted snow, treated tap water, or clean well water. To keep the cooling system in good condition, add 1% caustic soda and 0.5% kerosene to the water. This helps prevent scale buildup and keeps the system clean. Most agricultural machinery operates in outdoor environments, often exposed to dust, mud, and moisture. As a result, the machine's body tends to get dirty quickly. Regular cleaning is necessary to prevent rust and corrosion. If needed, repaint any damaged areas to further protect the equipment from environmental damage. Keeping the machine clean not only improves its appearance but also extends its lifespan and ensures reliable performance.
