Corn Seed Pretreatment

Before sowing, seed selection and drying were conducted. The uniform and uniform seeds were selected and sun-dried for three days to increase germination potential, disease resistance, and uniformity of emergence. The purity of the selected seeds is not less than 96%, the clarity is not less than 98%, the germination rate is not less than 90%, and the moisture content is not higher than 16%. Seed coating or germination treatment depending on the situation.

Seed coating. The corn seed was coated with a drought-resistant composite seed coating agent to prevent and control pests at the seedling stage and enhance the vitality of the root system and its own stress resistance. Germination seeds cannot be coated to prevent phytotoxicity.

Seed drought-resistant exercise before sowing: Wet and dry cycle method is used to treat seeds and improve drought resistance. The method is to soak the corn seeds in warm water of 20-25°C for two days and nights, remove and dry them. After the drought-resistant seed, the roots grow fast, the seedlings are short, the leaves are widened, and the water content is relatively high. Generally, the yield can be increased by 10%. In addition, you can also use the agent soaking seed method: with calcium chloride 1kg of water 100kg, soaking (or boring) 500kg, 5 to 6 hours after sowing, drought resistant seedlings of corn also have good results.
