Summer goslings do "four notes"

Goose is a herbivorous poultry and has the characteristics of rapid growth, strong disease resistance and less consumption of refined feed. Spring and summer are the golden season for feeding goslings. During the breeding process, “four attentions” should be achieved. (1) The goose down that has just hatched from the temperature change is relatively thin, and the ability to consciously adjust the body temperature is also poor. Special attention should be paid to insulation and heatstroke protection. Usually goults from 1 to 5 days of age require a shepherd temperature of 26°C to 30°C, and then a decrease of 1°C to 2°C in the temperature of the house every 7 days (according to reasonable control of climate change). Little goslings should not be grazing at noon in the summer to prevent heat stroke, allowing them to rest in the shade and add heat and stress additives such as minerals and vitamins to their drinking water. (II) The digestive absorption function of the gastrointestinal tract of newly hatched goslings with feeds is not yet sound. The vegetables cannot be fed alone, otherwise the gander gastroenteritis can easily be caused and should be fed with rice, broken rice or compound feed. Later, as the gosling age increases, the proportion of green feed in the diet can gradually increase to 9%, and the proportion of concentrate feed can be gradually reduced to 10%. (iii) Feeding management For goslings older than 10 days, choose a noon with good weather and no wind at any time. After feeding the food, slowly rush it to the nearby grassland and drive it to the nearby meadow for 1 hour. In a clean shallow pond, the water should not be discharged for a few minutes. Then catch the geese on the shore and let them comb their feathers. When the hairs are dry, they go back to the geese. In order to prevent some weak gooses from getting cold and getting sick, gentamicin or fungicide can be added to their drinking water. The time of grazing and watering of goslings can be prolonged with the increase of their age. Goslings can be grazing all day long after 30 days of age. (IV) Health care and prevention Attention feeds must be fresh and must not be fed with moldy feeds. Regularly clean up the venues, change the beddings, strengthen the disinfection of the goose house, and keep the goose house clean and dry. Feeding troughs and drinkers should be cleaned daily and regularly sterilized. And targeted use of antibiotics and feed additives. In addition, do a good job of vaccination.
