2. Preparation before immunization
Before drinking water immunize, rinse the water system and drinking equipment thoroughly, but do not use disinfectants and detergents. Drinking equipment can not use metal products, it is best to use porcelain and plastic appliances.
3. The choice of immune water
Drinking water immunization water should be distilled or cold water or clean deep well water. Water should not contain heavy metal ions and halogen elements. Tap water should be boiled and left overnight before use. For large chicken farms, dechlorinating agents can be added to tap water. 10 to 10 ml of sodium thiosulfate can be added to every 10 liters of water, depending on the amount of chlorine in the water.
4. Dilution of vaccine
The vaccine should be bottled and poured into water. Stir with a clean wooden stick. If the outdoor wind is large, it should be diluted indoors. It is best to add 0.2-0.5% skimmed milk powder or sorbitol to the diluent to protect the vaccine titer.
5. Stop water before immunization
Drinking water should be stopped for 3-6 hours before the immunization. The length of water stop should be controlled flexibly according to the room temperature and the dry and wet degree of feed. When the dry powder is fed at high temperature at room temperature, the water stopping time is shorter, and when the room temperature is low, the water stopping time is longer.
6. Precautions
Before drinking, we must increase the number of drinking fountains according to the number of chickens and the size of the chickens, so that more than 90% of chickens can drink enough vaccine water at the same time. When the flock is large and the drinker is insufficient, it can be carried out in batches to prevent the vaccine water from failing during the procrastination.
7. Dilution concentration
Dilution of the vaccine should be suitable for the amount of water, not too much or too little, should refer to the vaccine instructions and the size of the immunization chickens, the number and the room temperature at that time to determine. The vaccine water should be consumed within 1-2 hours, but in order to allow each chicken to drink a sufficient amount of vaccine, the drinking time should not be less than 1 hour.
The general amount is as follows:
1-2 weeks old 8-10 ml / only;
3-4 weeks old 15-20 ml / only;
5-6 weeks old 20-30 ml / only;
7-8 weeks old 30-40 ml / only;
9-10 weeks old 40-50 ml/only.
The amount of drinking water in the chicken can also be recorded continuously 3 days before the vaccine is used, and the average value is taken to determine the amount of drinking water.
8. Immunity time
During the hot season, drinking water immunity should be conducted early in the morning and should avoid high temperatures. The vaccine diluent should not be exposed to sunlight.
9. The correct route of vaccination
There is a direct link between the vaccination route and the immunization effect. Not all vaccines are suitable for drinking water immunization. For example, the oil emulsion inactivated vaccine of egg drop syndrome can only be immunized by injection. Immunization with vaccines that are not suitable for drinking water immunization can only lead to immune failure.
10. Careful medication
Two days before and after immunization with water, a total of 5 days (preferably 7-10 days) of drinking water and feed must not contain drugs and disinfectants that kill the vaccine virus (or bacteria).
